The more and more I look around, the more I see the people I love
Walking through my grandmother's garden, I missed the smell of her perfume and the way we used to pick the flowers and make bracelets with them. The way we used to do things outside more than in, and things more creative than an average day. My grandmother made days that were dull and typical, extraordinary.
She appreciated moments. She knew the time she had left on the earth and because of that she saw everyday as special and worth making sweet.
Sometimes it's easier to not think or to forget the way she made me feel or the reasons why I miss her. Coming back to her house and visiting my family, I saw that her presence was in the laughs of her great-grandchildren, the pride my grandpa has of his family, and the joy we had because of the risen Christ.

Emma and I decided to go out and pick some of her flowers (that have continued to grow and multiply even after her passing). It was there that I really felt the life that she still has. Not everyone believes in a heaven or an afterlife, but I can promise you that the life in her garden had a soul.
p.s. loves, I have a prayer and thought request for my grandpa. He has been sick for the past few weeks and is slowly recovering. Please pray for his physical health and for his emotional health. Everyday, he misses my grandma and he will until the day he dies. I pray he will have peace with not only his sickness, but with his true love not with him. Thank you guys.
xx, Riley
